Dr. Abul Hassan has more than 15 years teaching and research experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Currently Dr. Abul Hassan is working as a Research Scientist II in Finance at the KFUPM Business School, King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Earlier he taught at Durham University, Staffordshire University, UK ; University of Brunei Darussalam, Brunei and Gloucestershire University, UK and held academic positions in different capacities from teaching Assistant to Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor. He has a first class MA in Economics and a PhD in investment from University of Durham, UK. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. Dr. Hassan has published 40 research papers in the International peer review academic journals and presented 21 research papers at the International Conferences in the different part of the world. He has been invited as guest speakers in the different Universities in the western countries. Dr. Hassan has been a visiting Faculty at the Trisakti University, Jakarta, since 2007 for its doctoral candidate’s supervision and training.
As a part of his scholarly interests, he regularly review books at the Muslim World Book Review published from UK, refereed research papers for high ranking academic journals and conferences/seminars. He have been awarded as “Best Outstanding Reviewer” by the Emerald Group, UK for its Journal, International Journal of Ethics and Systems for the year 2010”. One of his papers titled- 'Towards Understanding A Sharia Compliant Firm" was awarded as a best paper in the International Conference on :Accounting, Finance, Economics and Management' organized by the University of Glasgow, UK from 7-9 April 2015.
