Prof. Mumtaz A. Quraishi is a Chair Professor at the Interdisciplinary Center for Research in Advanced Materials King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. He obtained Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry in 1986 from Kurukshetra University and awarded D.Sc. in 2004 from Aligarh Muslim University Aligarh in the field of Corrosion Inhibition of Industrial Metals and Alloys. Before joining KFUPM he was a full Professor at IIT BHU Varanasi India. He also served as Head (Chairman) Department of Chemistry IIT BHU. He has more than 35 years of teaching and Research experience. His current research focusses on Design synthesis of Green Corrosion Inhibitors of industrial importance. He has published more than 400 Papers in peer Reviewed Journals having H–index 91 and Citations more than 26500. He received several national and international awards such as Excellence award 2013 Meritorious Award 2007 from Indian section of NACE International USA. Vigyan Ratna award 2008 by Council of Science Technology Lucknow India and Lifetime Achievement award (2021) from Electrochemical Society IISC Bangalore. He has also been indexed in the list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists in a global list prepared at Stanford university USA in October 2020. Dr. Quraishi is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry U.K. And a member of American Chemical Society. Dr. Quraishi is an Associate editor of Current Material Science Bentham and a member of Editorial Board of the more than 15 International Journals.
